| MightySync 3.0 Help 1.0 Getting Started When you first run MightySync you will see the following window: Start by clicking on Add Sync, this will prompt you to enter a name for your sync, this should be something to describe the type of files you will sync, for example "Business Documents". Once you have done this, you should see the following: Please not that if you installed MightySync for the first time, you will not see information about the last sync. Now you are ready to add files or folders to your sync. Click on the "Add Files / Folders" button, this will bring you to the following window: Select the files and folders that you wish to sync, in our example we will select the files on the desktop side and sync them to the device. IMPORTANT NOTE: If a file exists on the device and on the desktop, it does not matter which direction you tell MightySync to sync to; MightySync will examine both files prior to sync and will determine which one was modified last then it will sync it accordingly. Once we press the button to sync the files to the device, they will appear grayed out on the device side. Now that we are done adding files to sync, we click on the Finished, this will bring us back to the main window and will list the files that will be synced. That's it! We are now ready to sync, click on the Sync Current or Sync All to begin syncing. At this point MightySync will begin gathering the files that have been changed since they were last sync'ed and will sync them as necessary, skipping any files that have not changed. |
